Study: Silver diamine fluoride may help stop tooth decay

Γράφτηκε από

A study published in JAMA Pediatrics found that silver diamine fluoride stopped decay in more than half of treated baby teeth in children younger than age 6. Data showed 38% of children treated saw their tooth decay stop in more than half of affected baby teeth. The treatment is low-cost, ranging from $20 to $75 per application, and has been deemed safe for use in children and adults, but it has not been approved by the FDA for treating tooth decay.
